2019 Taiwan European Film Festival will start on 3rd December !
TEFF (Taiwan European Film Festival) is organized by European Economic and Trade Office since 2005. TEFF presents a selection of European films every year aiming to show the diversity of cultures, arts and languages of the European countries. The 15th TEFF will take place from November 2019 to January 2020 at the venues all around Taiwan with free entrance, Chinese and English subtitles available.

The 5th Taiwan EU Forum, with the theme of "Brexit, Populism and its Impact on the European Integration" was held at 10:00 am on October 18th (Fri.) at the meeting room 301, 3rd floor in the National Central Library. Professor Tai-Lin CHANG (Professor of the Department of European Languages and Cultures NCCU, Program Director of Jean Monnet Action) invited experts from Europe and international affairs, political science and economics field to publish papers on the EU important future issues.

The 14th Taiwan European Cultural Forum was held successfully on Saturday
The 14th session of the Taiwan European Cultural Forum was held successfully on Saturday. All of the speakers share about their own learning, teaching and research experience, from their observations to present insights, share experiences, and analyze the particularity of the language, why it continues to be popular, widely accepted and popularized.
This forum attracts many people who are interested in language and also provides us with valuable strategies and methods for learning foreign languages.

Scholarship Orientation of the New Erasmus Project of the EU and the MSCA was held successfully
The Ministry of Education and European Union Centre in Taiwan jointly held an EU scholarship orientation on August 14th.
First session : Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions – Training Future Generations of Researchers.
The Ministry of Education invited Klaus HAUPT,the Director of Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action, and Ms. Simona LOSMANOVA, the Project Consultant of Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action(MSCA) as speakers.
Second session : Erasmus+: Opportunities between Taiwan and Europe.
The Ministry of Education also invited Ms. Fissoun CALISKAN, Project Specialist of Erasmus joint Master Degree Program, EU Education, Audiovisual and Cultural Enforcement Agency and Mr. German BERNAL RIOS, Policy Commissioner of the Southern Mediterranean Countries, EU International Cooperation in Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency as speakers.
About 80 people from university teachers and students, international representatives and those interested in studying for a degree in European Countries attended this orientation yesterday. The registration and participation was quite active.

The 2019 EUSAAP Annual Conference and Postgraduate Student Workshop Was Held Successfully in Shanghai on 6-7th July 2019.
The 2019 EUSAAP annual conference and postgraduate student workshop was held at Fudan University in Shanghai from July 6th to 7th, 2019. On the same day, Professor Su Hung dah, Director of the European Union Center of Taiwan participated together with important EU scholars from universities and colleges in Taiwan and abroad.
The two-day seminar included idea exchange and observation on future EU development issues through speeches, academic seminars and dialogues. The European Union Center of Taiwan will also invite EU research institutes in Taiwan to work together in New Zealand next year in 2020. At that time, Taiwanese EU research scholars and graduate students are also welcome to sign up and join us together.
The EUSAAP was established in 1999 and currently includes Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, Macau, New Zealand, Taiwan and Thailand. It is the only multinational EU research academic community in the Asia-Pacific region. The annual conference of the EUSAAP is held among the member states and also subsidized by the EU Monet Project. EUSAAP is not only an important EU research academic activity in the Asia-Pacific region, but also the official institute of the European Union and an important academic exchange platform for the EU and Asia in the Asia-Pacific region.

2019 V4 Film Festival at NTU ( 17, 21 and 22, May 2019)
The Visegrád Group and INFINE will organize the 2019 V4 Central European Film Festival. The festival that runs from May 16 to July 31 will feature 5 recent movies screened in 10 venues all around Taiwan (Chinese and English subtitles, free of charge entrance). The purpose of the V4 Central European Film festival is to contribute to the awareness of the V4 countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) in Taiwan.
