The 2021 National Taiwan University–Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 Exchange Scholarship is now open for applications. Submission deadline: 23rd July.

Jean Moulin–Sun Yat-sen Exchange Scholarship to France (2021)

2. Number of Scholarships

3 students from National Taiwan University will be selected to participate in a short-term study program in France.

3. Award Period

June 2021 – May 2022

4. Scholarship Coverage

Each recipient will receive up to NT$30,000 as a subsidy for round-trip economy class airfare to France.

5. Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be a current student of National Taiwan University with ROC (Taiwan) nationality
  2. Priority will be given to those who have participated in the EUTW–ESSCA Summer Program
  3. Priority given to those who have obtained a Certificate of EU Studies from NTU
  4. Priority given to those who have completed at least three EU-related courses at NTU with excellent academic performance
  5. French language proficiency test certificate is a plus
  6. Applicants must not be receiving any other scholarships for studying in France

6. Application Documents

All documents must be submitted in electronic format (clear scanned copies, no photos). Printed versions will not be accepted.

  • Certificate of Enrollment
  • Academic Transcript
  • Admission/Acceptance Letter (if available)
  • English/French Language Test Certificate (optional but advantageous)
  • Autobiography
  • Study Plan

7. Selection Procedure

  • Preliminary Review:
    Applications must be submitted via email by July 23, 2021.
    Please use the subject line: "Application for Jean Moulin–Sun Yat-sen Exchange Scholarship to France"
  • Final Selection:
    Conducted by the European Union Centre in Taiwan by the end of July 2021
  • Evaluation Criteria:
    • Document review (transcripts, autobiography, study plan, academic achievements) – 50%
    • Interview (attitude, expression, academic knowledge and insights) – 50%
  • Result Announcement:
    Final results will be announced by 30th July 2021 on the EUTW websit

8. Obligations for Awardees

  1. Must attend a pre-departure briefing organized by EUTW after returning to Taiwan
  2. After settling in France, recipients must provide their contact information for follow-up communication
  3. Must submit an academic report and reflection via email within one month after returning
