Congratulations to the 2024 Taiwanese students who are about to head to Europe with their Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD) scholarships

Time flies! On August 10, 2023, we hosted a farewell party for the Taiwanese students who were about to head to Europe with their Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD) scholarships. This year, a new batch of students is getting ready for their European adventure, with some having already set off!

Next week, these students will begin their journeys to various host countries. Some will be heading to Sweden, others to Spain, and a few to France, which has just hosted the Olympics. On August 15, 2024, Marc Cheng, the Executive Director of the European Union Centre in Taiwan, hosted a farewell dinner for the departing students. He presented them with EU-themed gifts from the European Economic and Trade Office and special Taiwan-EU badges for their time in Europe. We wish them all the best for their studies over the next two years.

Curious about higher education in Europe? Be sure to attend the 21st European Education Fair Taiwan, taking place on October 19-20, 2024, on the 6th floor of the Taipei Cultural and Creative Park! If you’re eager to get information sooner, join us for an EU scholarship information session on September 14 (Saturday) at the Taipei City Library!

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJM) program is a joint initiative by a consortium of European higher education institutions, funded by the EU. Each year, it offers up to €25,000 in scholarships to outstanding student candidates selected for that year's program. Students must study at least two universities in different European program countries. The program length varies, with options of 12, 18, or 24 months (60, 90, or 120 ECTS credits).
