As Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, in his report to Parliament České republiky, stated that the five priority issues for the Council of the European Union in the future include: Ukraine, energy, defense, economy, and democracy, within the issues the Ukraine, energy, and defense issues receiving the most attention.
As the Chairman of the EU, how does Czech view the Russia-Ukraine war? How should they respond to the referendum results in pro-Russian regions? Will they accept Ukraine's application to join the EU? With winter approaching, how will the EU deal with the impending energy crisis?
In October, Fair Winds Foundation will be cooperated with the College of Social Sciences at National Taiwan University, and European Union Centre in Taiwan to host a Fair Winds Youth Leadership Program, inviting Mr. David Steinke, the Czech Representative to Taiwan, to analyze the current challenges and opportunities facing the EU from the perspective of the rotating EU presidency.
