2023 EUTW Forum on Environment and Science- 2023 EU-Taiwan Hydrogen Roundtable   With the global focus on reducing carbon emissions, hydrogen is seen as a highly promising clean energy source. In 2020, the European Commission adopted the "EU strategy on Hydrogen ", which aims to generate 1GW of hydrogen energy in Europe before 2030 and achieve widespread adoption of hydrogen energy in Europe by 2050. European countries have also set their own hydrogen energy development plans. In Taiwan's energy transformation white paper, hydrogen energy is also seen as an important future energy source. In response to the government's goal of achieving zero carbon emissions by 2050, the development of relevant hydrogen energy industries and promotion of hydrogen energy applications are goals for all parties. This forum is co-hosted by the European Union Centre in Taiwan and the European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan Low Carbon Initiative. It not only invites European and Taiwanese officials to explain bilateral policies and current situations, but also invites industry, academia, and other parties to exchange opinions on international cooperation, infrastructure, financial investment, and practical experience. The aim is to help all parties grasp the trend of hydrogen energy and promote the sustainable development of the industry. Organizer 主辦單位 EU Centre in Taiwan臺灣歐洲聯盟中心 ECCT LCI歐洲在臺商務協會低碳倡議行動 LCI CO-Organizer 協辦單位 CPC Corporation, Taiwan台灣中油股份有限公司 Taiwan Power Company台灣電力股份有限公司 Contact 聯絡人 ECCT LCI歐洲在臺商務協會低碳倡議行動 LCI EU Centre in Taiwan臺灣歐洲聯盟中心 Ian Lee李伯志 ntueutw@ntu.edu.tw 02-2365-3457 Agenda 活動議程 Time 時間 Topics 主題 Speakers 講者 13:30-14:00 Registration 14:00-14:20 (CET: 08:00-08:20) Opening Remarks Mr. Giuseppe Izzo, ECCT Chairman 歐洲商會/ 尹容理事長 Dr. Su Hung-dah, Director of EUTW 臺灣歐盟中心/ 蘇宏達主任 Mr. Gwenole COZIGOU, Director, Ecosystems III: Construction, Machinery and Standardisation (GROW.H), DG GROW 歐盟成長總署/ Gwenole COZIGOU 處長 Ms. Wang Mei-hua, MOEA Minister 經濟部/ 王美花部長 14:20-14:30 (08:20-08:30) Group photo 貴賓合影   14:30-14:50 (08:30-08:50) Keynote 1: Taiwan’s Hydrogen Roadmap: Challenges & Opportunities of Achieving Net Zero by What are the challenges ahead of Taiwan for hydrogen development, How will Taiwan reach its net zero goals by scaling up hydrogen whole value chain and incentivizing demand for clean hydrogen.
