The international joint symposium on “Post Russia-Ukraine War: The Security Perceptions of Turkey and Taiwan” is aimed at evaluating and debating the trends, complex patterns, and global implications of a changing security order by looking through the security perceptions of Turkey and Taiwan, both of which are challenged with multifaceted crises and risks in their regional security complexes.

The symposium is a pioneering international academic meeting for the discussion of global/regional developments under the collaboration of the Department of International Relations of Ege University; the College of Social Sciences of National Taiwan University; National Chengchi University; and the EU Centre in Taiwan (EUTW).

The Programme in European Union Studies (PEUS) of the College of International Affairs at National Chengchi University, one of our partner schools, has been awarded the Jean Monnet Module 2022 grant, making it the only institution receiving such an honour in Taiwan. The European Union initiated the Jean Monnet Module program to promote global EU teaching and research and to encourage the publication and dissemination of academic research results. Its main goals are to advance EU studies and share teaching experiences with young scholars, experts, and researchers; to support the publication and dissemination of academic research; to encourage the introduction of the EU perspective in exploring non-EU related issues; and to provide tailored EU courses for postgraduate students. In recent years, the selection standards have become increasingly stringent, with awarded institutions emerging from fierce global competition among universities. Once again, congratulations to our partner university, National Chengchi University!

The application period for the EUTW Internship Program is now open. The application deadline is 9 September 2022. A short CV must be submitted on or before the application deadline to ntueutw@ntu.edu.tw Places will be offered on a first-come, first-reviewed basis

Please note that it is an Unpaid internship with 3-6 months duration, at least two half-days office hours at Centre. During the internship, the intern will have the opportunity to also work at Low Carbon Initiative Action of the European Chamber of Commerce (ECCT). EUTW will not help to apply Work permit/ARC.
