The European Higher Education Fair (EHEF)

The objective of EHEF is to promote high-quality education in Europe as well as mutual trust and cooperation among European educational institutions and schools. The EUTW will be assisting EHEF in Taiwan to introduce European universities to Taiwanese students and encourage Taiwanese students to choose Europe as their main destination for further studies.

2009 European Higher Education Fair Press Release

The 8th European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) Taipei will take place on November
7th and 8th from 13.00 to 18.00 at the Taipei Show Two. The 1st edition of the EHEF
Kaohsiung will be on November 9th from 15H00 to 19H00 at the Kaohsiung
Ambassador Hotel.

Co-organized by the French Institute in Taipei/CampusFrance Taiwan, DAAD
Information Center Taipei, and the Netherlands Trade & Investment
Office/Netherlands Education Support Office, the Taipei European Higher Education
Fair Committee (EHEF Committee) was founded in 2002. The EHEF Committee is a
non-profit organization solely devoted to the promotion of studying opportunities in
European countries. It calls on European countries to work together to organize the
EHEF in November every year in Taipei. The EHEF is the only official European
higher education fair in Taiwan, also one of the largest education fair in Taipei.
Every year, the EHEF attracts more than 10,000 visitors during the two-day exhibition. This year, there are total 76 participating European higher institutions. This fair is the largest fair since its creation on 2002. These institutions representing 13 European countries, including France, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Switzerland, Italy, United Kingdom, Austria, Sweden, Belgium, Hungary, and Lithuania. At the fair, we provide various seminars about studying in Europe. Visitors will have direct face-to-face counseling with the school representatives, and to receive information about scholarship, visa, travel, accommodation, and transportation. As the fair provides an excellent opportunity for schools to recruit students, and for students to receive information about what schools have to offer, we highly encourage students to register online before the fair. With the EHEF online registration system (www.ehef.org.tw), students provide their academic backgrounds to allow schools representatives a better understanding of the students’ profile.

In addition to the fair in Taipei, the EHEF also co-organizes the 1st Taiwan-Europe
Higher Education Conference with the Foundation for International Cooperation in
Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET), with the supports of the EU Centre Taiwan, and
the National Sun Yat-Sen University: The objective of this conference is to facilitate the exchange between European and Taiwanese higher institutions. This conference will include one half-day mini fair, and one full day informative sessions and “match-making” process. This conference will take place on November 10th at the National Sun Yat-Sen University.
