Barclays Bank PLC, CEO/Taiwan and Branch Manager, Taipei - Cosmas Yi-Hou Lu
  Cosmas Lu is a Managing Director based in Taiwan Where he is CEO and Branch Manager, Taipei of Barclays Bank PLC.
  Mr. Lu joined Barclays Capital in HK in March 2005 responsible for sales coverage in Taiwan, and subsequently for Greater China Distribution in 2007. As the head of regional sales, he is responsible for both the institutional business and investor solutions coverage in Greater China. In additional to his general sales role, he is also assisting the Mortgage Backed Security desk in promoting US mortgage products to key accounts in the region.
  Mr. Lu joined Barclays Capital from Citigroup Global Markets (Hong Kong) where he was responsible for marketing securitized and structured products to investors in Greater China. He began his career in 1988 in New York with First Boston as a portfolio research analyst. He then spent nine years in Tokyo where he was trading and marketing US and European fixed income products firstly with Credit Suisse, and subsequently with both Lehman Brothers and Salomon Smith Barney ( later Citigroup).
  Mr. Lu was born in Taiwan and spend much of his youth in Japan. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School.

L’Oreal TAIWAN Managing Director -Amy Chen

  Amy Chen, managing director in L’Oreal Taiwan, is L’Oreal's first Taiwanese managing director, as well as the only female managing director in Asia.
  Born in Ying-Ge, Taiwan, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in foreign languages and literatures from National Taiwan University and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
  Boasting experience in English teaching, advertising, sales for American companies, and brand marketing, Chen joined L’Oreal in 1997. She started as a brand director at Helena Rubinstein and Lancôme and was later transferred to headquarters in Paris, serving in Lancôme International and the Luxury Products Division, Asia. She returned to Taiwan in 2002, having been appointed general manager of shu uemura’s largest overseas market, Taiwan, and successfully integrating the shu uemura brand under the umbrella of the L’Oreal Group.

  In 2004, Chen was promoted to general manager of the Luxury Products Division of L’Oreal Taiwan. Under her leadership, that division successfully shaped L’Oreal into a powerful brand and led the charge in bringing Kiehl’s, Giorgio Armani Cosmetics, and YSL Beautè onto the market, establishing a dominant presence for the company’s brands in department store channels.
  In 2010, Chen was formally promoted to managing director of L’Oreal Taiwan, leading nearly 1000 employees and 14 different international cosmetics brands*. Not only is she the only person to have achieved double-digit growth in the cosmetics industry, she did it two years running at L’Oreal Taiwan. In 2011, L’Oreal Taiwan was awarded the Outstanding Foreign Commerce Agencies and Foreign Firms(優良外商獎) at the Golden Merchant Awards and Chen was named Super MVP Manager. She strives to cultivate cooperation among channel partners, and has been issued multiple awards, including the Watsons Best Partner Award, the Far Eastern Group’s Second Largest Group Contribution Award (第二大集團貢獻獎), and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi’s Best Group Contribution Award (最佳集團貢獻獎). Chairman and CEO of L’Oreal Jean-Paul AGON has praised Chen, calling her “Miracle Woman” and “Iron Woman.”
*Note: L’Oreal Taiwan has a total of 16 specialized brands, sold through four major sales channels in Taiwan: Lancôme, shu uemura, Biotherm, Kiehl’s, Giorgio Armani Cosmetics, YSL Beautè, and Clarisonic sold in department stores; L’Oreal Paris, Garnier, and Maybelline sold in open-shelf channels; L’Oreal Professionnel, Kérastase, and Matrix sold in salons; as well as Vichy, La Roche-Posay, and Roger & Gallet sold through pharmaceutical and medical channels.
